Chamber to launches new Web site Monday

July 10, 2002 - The Lincolnton-Lincoln County Chamber of Commerce will launch of its new Web site on Monday.
The site has been in the works for several months and is the result of many hours of donated time, talent, and equipment, according to chamber officials..
The goal of the Web site is to promote the value and functions of the chamber and to provide member benefits and community information, according to chamber
officials. The Web site will feature information on chamber membership, events, activities, a community calendar, and pages which emphasize positive traits of Lincolnton and Lincoln County. Web pages will provide
information on county organizations, history, business and development opportunities, and will provide valuable links to other Web sites.
The Web site has been designed by Tech5 Corporation of Lincolnton, a company that donated the many hours of time necessary to design and create the Web site
and its pages and links. Tech5 specializes in Web site design and hosting services. Tech5 also donated time for the training of chamber staff to manage and update the Web site..
Steele Rubber products of Lincolnton has donated Web site hosting space for the Web site once it has been completed.
The chamber committee which has been developing the Web site is the Image and Promotions Committee. This committee is part of the Tourism and Promotions
portion of the Chamber which is chaired by Scott Mullen.
The chamber staff including Ken Kindley, Mary Lee, and Teresa Crabtree participated in the development of the Web site and will be managing its content from a
day-to-day basis.
New members joining the chamber in the future will be able to provide a link from the chamber’s Web site to chamber member’s Web sites. Plan also call for
advertising opportunities for chamber members.
