About Us
The Lincoln Times-News was established in 1965, the
result of the merger with the Lincoln Times, established
in 1907 and the Lincoln County News, established in
1873. It is published in the late morning on Monday,
Wednesday and Friday and circulates predominantly in
Lincoln County where home delivery service is available.
It is also sold in portions of Gaston and Catawba counties.
The Lincoln Times-News is primarily focused on community news (schools, sports, government, police and courts ) with a special section ( ShoreLine each Wednesday) covering eastern Lincoln County. A special Lifestyles feature section and local business pages appear each Friday. The Lifestyles section on the last Friday of each month is dedicated to coverage of western Lincoln County. The newspaper is a member of the Associated Press and carries some state, national and international news.
Our office is located at 117-120 West Water Street
in downtown Lincolnton and is open Monday through Friday
from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. For information about advertising,
